The past three years with FSU Lacrosse have absolutely flown by. The trials and triumphs
experienced with this program have changed my life, all for the better. Having the opportunity to lead this
program has taught me more than I could have ever imagined. I have tried to give my all to this beautiful
game, but it consistently gives me more in return- it truly is the Medicine Game.
At this time I am officially stepping off the field as the Head Coach of FSU Men’s Lacrosse. I
have an opportunity to take the next step in life with my fiance Erica and be closer to our friends and
families in northeast Florida. I will be moving to an “off the field” role with the program and will remain
on as an Executive Board Advisor so that I can assist the team in whatever they may need.
I could not be more excited and proud to announce that we are promoting Louis Albasi to be the
next Head Coach of our storied program. From the first day the program needed help, Lou immediately
stepped up to the plate. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the helm and he truly cares
about the Tallahassee community and our players. I can not wait to see how far he will continue to raise
the program and I, along with our alumni and families, will fully support him along the way.
I want to thank Noah Dearman and the executive board of ‘18-’20 for giving me the chance to do
something I love, and to thank Sean Monahan and the executive board of ‘21 for allowing me to continue.
I will do whatever I can to assist Cam Strickler and the new executive board in any capacity they may
need. To Louis Albasi, Kevin Hoppey, Chris Anders, and Mike McGraw- thank you for all the help in
pushing this program forward the past four years. You guys are absolutely the reason this program is
where it is today and I am forever grateful to you all. To Erica and my Family- thank you for the constant
support and uplifting, you’ll never know how much it meant to me!
To all our players- as we talked about this past week- I appreciate the hell out of all of you and I
love you guys. I can’t wait to cheer you all on next year and to come at you in the alumni game! If any of
you need anything you know you can call at any time. Thank you all for your efforts and joy for the game.
It will be incredible to see the re-birth of Harkins Field this summer, I am ecstatic for the future
and the journey the program will continue to take. As always- Go Noles!
With Gratitude,
Darby Brower
